March 1, 2025 update:

We're in the thick of tax season right now. Turnaround time is likely to be longer than any of us would like. Thank you in advance for your patience.

You should see a banner on your portal homepage describing the current status of your file.

If your portal status says "Waiting for Russ", then you're in my preparation queue. I'll have an update and/or questions for you as soon as I can.

If your portal status says "Welcome to Tax Season", "Waiting for you...", "Please complete...", "Waiting for client docs", or "Waiting for client!", then I am waiting for something from you.

When you've responded to anything I might be awaiting or requesting, you can hit the "Done Uploading" button in the client portal. I'll see that notification and get you moved into the "Waiting for Russ" stage.

As a reminder, to meet the April 15 filing/payment deadline, I need your information no later than March 25. Clients who miss this date will be placed on extension.

If you want to file an extension with a recommended payment amount, I still need your available and projected information no later than March 25. Clients who miss this deadline will be subject to late/rush fees, with no guarantee work can be completed by April 15.

I will file a proforma extension (with a zero estimated payment) for any returns unfinished by April 10. Returns will be completed after April 15.
